ABOUT DZHATSHA FILMS - Dzhatsha FilmsABOUT DZHATSHA FILMS - Dzhatsha Films

Dzhatsha Films is a South African Black-owned film production company that was established by Tshidino Ndou mistakenly known as Chidino.

Chidino is a proudly rural guy who was born and bred in the dusty streets of Tshakhuma.

After matriculating with flying symbols from Mavhungu Andries Secondary School, Chidino studied Drama and Films at the Univeristy of Pretoria otherwise known as Tukkies. His first time in Gauteng was hectic as he was sometimes confused by robots.

During his study-period he worked as a student journalist for Die Perdeby, a University of Pretoria's own newspaper at which he served three years but was later promoted to the editorial department only after two months.

Chidino also writes comments for the national newspapers such as Daily Sun, Sowetan, Sunday World, Sunday Sun and Limpopo Mirror..

His school teachers include among others Mrs. Elsie Rasalanavho (Principal of Ganyane Primary School) who plays the role of Vho-Mukondeleli on SABC2 Tshivenda drama Muvhango and Hanli Rolfes who played the role of Saralie on SABC1 daily soap Generations.

Chidino also completed the following courses:
  • Information Systems Management Technology Diploma, Intec College of Cape Town.
  • Public Relations, Damelin.
  • Filmmaking, City Varsity of Newtown Joburg.

He appeared on various television productions such as Ashifashabba TV show, Jozi Streets drama, Crossing the line movie, Minute Main commercial, Wimpy commercial, Avbob commercial, TAXI2 show and many others.

While at the University of Pretoria, Chidino won competitions such as Van Schaick Book Publishers' poetry competition and was the best Tshivenda Poetry writer in 1996.
